7. Tie a 1-inch (2.5-cm) loop in one end of the 30-inch (76-cm) piece of string. Tie the other end around the tripod top, leaving the loop hanging down.

8. Clip the paper clip hooks to the loop.

9. With the lid closed, fill the lotion bottle about one-third full with poster paint. Fill another third of the bottle with water. Use the stir stick to mix the paint.

10. Position a large sheet of paper under the painter. Carefully open the cap. Swing and twirl the bottle to watch the pendulum paint a design on the paper.
